Resistors (A basic component in every electronic device)

Hi ! there today we are going to share an interesting information about resistors. Resistors are basically small components that are used in various electronic device's such as mobiles, computers, Tv's, and many other accessories such as kitchen accessories which include microwave, blenders, toasters etc.

Metal film resistors are usually made of Nichrome, but also other materials such as tantalum nitride is used. The resistive film is printed on a cylindrical or flat insulating substrate.

Function of a Resistor:

The main function of a resistor in any circuit is that it helps to resist a specified amount of current which is not required in a circuit it helps in saving the components from being short circuit.

A typical Resistor:

but there are many drawbacks of them, the can only resist a certain amount of current in the circuit. Resistors are also classified on the basis of their power weightage.

1. Resistor having power (1/4 w):

this is a resistor which is having a power of (1/4 w) or 0.2 watt. This type of resistor are normal used in small circuits such as lighting up an led etc.

2. Resistor having power (1/2 w):

this type of resistor are in normal size and are used in mini projects like water level indicator, fire alarms, etc.

3. Resistor having power (3 w):

these resistors are usually large in size and are more reliable and have high power weightage which are used in circuits including home appliances, kitchen appliances etc.
and many more.

Another type:

Another important type of resistor is a variable resistor whose values can be varied from different ranges depending upon your requirement. They also have the same power weightage as of the above resistors.
Thank you ! and this is from todays post keep visiting our post form more and interesting information.
