Do Resistors have a positive or a negative terminal???

Another important thing about this component is that people think that there are +ive and -ive terminals of the resistor but the real fact is that there are two cases for that

Case 1:

As it is a component which use for resistance and its simplest example can be given like a wall.
if you ever recognize that what are the functions of wall, basically its a big block containing a flat and a smooth surface the functions of both is to provide the resistance or blockage in that case.
Same goes for the resistors.

Case 2:

Another case is that for a resistor to have a positive or a negative terminal that it should be a part of a circuit let us get explanation from this example, consider wall having two surfaces one on the other side and one on the other side, now if a country is attached to that side of the wall lets say Pakistan then that side would be consider as a Pakistani side where as on the other side of the wall belongs to India therefore it will be called the Indian side, same goes for the resistor if positive terminal connected to one side of the resistor leg it will be positive and other leg connected to negative will be negative but the function of both (the wall) and (the resistor)

is to provide blockage, just like this

(an example showing wall as a source of resistance b/w two countries)

Resistor in a circuit:

I hope this example will be best for clearing the concepts !
